French Rococo Vanity Stool | Hand-Carved Rose Motif Upholstered Dressing Bench | EKAR FURNITURE
The Rosalie Royale French Rococo Vanity Stool is a graceful, handcrafted seating piece that brings the delicate elegance of an 18th-century French boudoir into your everyday routine. Designed to pair perfectly with a French-inspired dressing table or serve as a charming accent seat at the foot of a bed, this stool blends ornate detailing with everyday comfort. The generously padded rectangular seat is wrapped in a soft, lustrous woven fabric featuring subtle vertical stripes in warm ivory and champagne tones, adding a quiet sense of luxury beneath your fingertips. The frame is finished in a muted French grey wash, with delicate champagne-gold highlights tracing every curve and edge—an understated nod to gilded Rococo design that feels fresh rather than dated.
What truly sets the Rosalie Royale apart is its hand-carved detailing, sculpted by artisans who have spent years mastering classical French woodwork. At the center of the front apron, a finely detailed rose motif blooms among swirling acanthus leaves, rendered in the same grey paint with gilded edges that catch the light softly. The four cabriole legs flow in the signature Louis XV curve, ending in elegant pad feet that rest gently on the floor. Each leg is accented with carved scrollwork and a slim gold outline, while the wavy apron line adds a sense of lightness and movement. The solid hardwood frame is joined by traditional mortise-and-tenon construction, ensuring the stool feels stable and substantial beneath you, never wobbly or flimsy.
This versatile stool finds its home in a wide range of refined interiors. In a master bedroom dressing area, it sits perfectly beneath a French vanity table, offering a comfortable place to sit while applying makeup or styling your hair. In a walk-in closet or wardrobe room, it adds a decorative touch while providing a convenient spot to put on shoes. Beyond the bedroom, the Rosalie Royale stool works beautifully as an accent seat in a sitting room, a window nook, or alongside a writing desk. It is also a favorite among boutique hotels and luxury guesthouses, where it can be placed at the foot of a bed or in a suites' dressing area to give guests that unforgettable French-château feeling.
